ROCKERS FROM THE PENINSULA TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM
The new release follows their debut EP, Memory Foam, issued in 2014.
(San Mateo, CA) January 12, 2015 - San Mateo rock trio Pretty Shanks are described as “energetic”, “hardcore”, and “cool”. To trail their kickoff EP, Memory Foam, they will be releasing their first album simply titled Pretty. The record is set to be released in March 2016 with local live events sure to follow.
To get a taste of their unique sound, the Memory Foam EP is available to stream for free on the band’s website, Spotify, and Soundcloud and to purchase on iTunes. The band’s angsty garage rock style is a hit with their teenage target audience. Most of their fans are local in the Bay Area. One says about the band, “They play good, well shaped music, with amazing enthusiasm. It’s hard to explain but they’re unlike any band I’ve heard in awhile.”
Pretty Shanks stand out from other bands in their genre because they want to have their own sound, not anyone else’s. Band frontman, Vincent Tinsay, says, “We don’t want to be a boring, forgettable band like many of those pop-punk and nu-metal bands in the 2000’s. We want to have a lasting impact. We want to prove that we actually have something that’s worthwhile.”
